Microsoft Windows 7 – another revolutionary operating system from the house of Microsoft Corporation, is just on the go to hit the market. It is expected to bring a revolution by its new concept of computing with the most user-friendly interface.

Microsoft Windows 7, which was previously named as Windows Vienna has been planned to ship on January 2010, which puts it in a waiting period of three-years after the general availability of Windows Vista (which took place in January 2007). However, the recent developments in this regard indicate its release plan on June 3rd 2009.

Microsoft Windows Blackcomb, after undergoing a series of renaming including Microsoft Windows Vienna has finally about to launch by the name of Microsoft Windows 7. It is also likely to undergo a change, as it is the Microsoft tradition to use a code name for the products during the development cycle before the original release of the actual product. Windows vista is using NT Kernel version 6 and Windows 7 will presumably be labeled with NT Kernel version 7.

Basically, it was the Windows Vista that built the basic platform for all future Microsoft Operating Systems. And as a consequence, all the security handling issues introduced in Vista will also be available on Windows 7. It is the last operating system from Microsoft that will extend the support to 32-bit processors being a 64-bit OS itself. According to the reports, Windows 7 is expected to have a better performance as compared to Vista and it has been further confirmed by pre-beta Build 6801 of Windows 7. With lot of technical measures like minimizing number of start-up services, cutting the number of disc operations, reading/writing to and from the registry, file indexing – windows 7 is likely to produce high performance at the cost of lower energy consumption. Moreover, the developers are rich with sufficient tools that offer energy efficient and resource conservative approach of running the applications. Devices that include storage drives, network adapters and graphic cards will remain shut down when not in use to cut down the energy consumption to a great extent. Over 2000 developers & 500 managers are in a state of constantly monitoring, debugging and developing this Microsoft suite that is likely to be bagged in recent time…
