EffectMatrix Inc. has launched its new software solution for those who loves to play with Videos. The software “Total Video Converter” is a very powerful and versatile video conversion software which not only convert videos from different formats to all popular formats but also can burn them into Audio CD(ACD), Video CD, DVD or SVCD.
We got a chance to evaluate the software suite. Installation is pretty easy with clicking some “Next” buttons and selecting folders etc. After successful installation we found that three applications are installed-
1. Total Video Converter
2. Total Video Player
3. Media Burner
We took an AVI file to convert it into MPEG-2 standard. The AVI file can be selected if you click the “New Task” button. It displays lots of menus. Select import media files to select the video file that is our AVI file.
Once the input file is selected the main displays lots of option of the output format. I chose MPEG-2 for this and it’s done. Now you can change the output directory where the output movie will be stored or you can play with the settings. Once done it starts the conversion and it takes some time depending on the file size. We found that the output file is same like the input file in terms of video quality and sound. If the unregistered product is used then it puts a watermark in the top right corner.
Media Burner
Not only videos it supports all type of Audios and portable medias like Real Video (.rmvb, .rm), MPEG4 (.mp4), 3GP(.3gp), MPEG1(.mpg, mpeg), MPEG2 PS (.mpg, mpeg, vob), MPEG2 TS (DVB Transport Stream), Ms ASF(.asf, .wmv), Ms AVI(.avi), Macromedia Flash video FLV (.flv), AAC(.aac) ,Audio CD(.cda),MPEG audio(.mp3, mp2) ,Ms WAV(.wav),Ms WMA(.wma),Real Audio (.ra),OGG(.ogg),Amr audio(.amr),AC3(.ac3) ,SUN AU format (.au),FLAC (.flac),Macromedia Flash embedded audio(.swf).
The latest version (3.14) has the following features-
1. Photos slide show.
2. Importing lots of subtitle file formats, including .srt . sub .ssa .ass .smi .psb .tex .idx etc.
3. Importing WINAMP plugins audio.
4. Supports generating ASF,WMV(for ZUNE,XBOX360),WMA video and audio formats.
5. Supports generating Sony Ericsson mobile video formats.
6. Supports generating MPEG TS stream subtitle files formats.
