Yahoo is planning to launch a new feature to the users who are using Yahoo search. This new feature is called Yahoo SearchPad as mentioned by Tom Chi, Senior Director of Product Management in his blog. This new feature in the Yahoo search will track the search behavior of the user and will intelligently collect the visited sites as well as will provide suggestions and will provide notes of this items so that user can edit/delete or reorder the notes. Logged in user can save those notes and can email these notes to friends also. Now how is this going to help any user?

Well the answer is, say you are planning a trip to Las Vegas and want to stay in a hotel. So first thing you’ll do is to find good hotels offering various discounts and facilities. You’ll put the collected informations in a sticky note or even save as bookmark. Sometimes you do an extensive study on Las Vegas also and the traffic etc. Now these activities are tedious and time consuming because you need to track lots of things and need to remember where you have collected the notes. Yahoo searchpad intelligently can track the items you are researching and help you to collect all the notes in a one place so that later you can reorder or edit those notes. No doubt this is indeed a good feature and is going to be dream tool for all online researchers.

Tom doesn’t mention anything about when Yahoo will roll out this feature for all the Yahoo lovers.
