This mini-notebook is a good pick for users who want a stylish, reliable and versatile laptop. Toshiba has just released the NB200 Notebook. It is available in two models— 1.66 GHz with Intel Atom processor N270 and the more powerful 1.66GHz with Intel Atom processor N280. Both the models have a 10.1” wide screen TruBrite LED backlight display. The screen has 1024×600 resolution. The LCD display is of good build quality. This Notebook has Intel 945GSE graphics chipset for clearer and better graphics. The NB200 notebook provides a near full-size tilted keyboard and extra large touchpad which makes this laptop easier to use. With a starting weight of 1.1 Kg this becomes an ultra-portable PC

What makes this notebook stylish is the ultra thin design and a unique textured cover. The NB200 is launched in four colors–brown, black, white, pink. Features which make it an ultra portable laptop are – an integrated mobile broadband and embedded wireless LAN. This notebook also has 3-D accelerometer monitoring system which detects and protects the HDD from freefalls shocks and vibration. It has 160GB HDD capacity and 1GB RAM. The NB200 has standard Windows XP Home Edition pre-installed.


The standard three-cell battery in NB200 offers 4-hours life and the nine cell upgradation gives 9-hours from single charge. Thus NB200 provides enough power for running common applications like web browsing, mailing, office applications and media play.

Other interfaces in NB200 are Bluetooth, 0.3 MP Webcam, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi and two USB 2.0 slots. The 3G in-built modem in this notebook is a very important piece. The users need not buy a 3G modem from service providers. NB200 also possesses one USB port with Toshiba’s innovative Sleep-and-Charge technology .This unique USB port can be used for charging mobiles and PMPs even when the notebook is switched off. This laptop is eco-friendly with no lead, mercury or other hazardous substances used in it. It is RoHS and Energy Star 5 compliant. Toshiba NB200 notebook is perfectly designed to fit the modern digital life style and suite any taste.
